2. What inspired you to start Black Tail Magazine?
In the early 2000s, I ran a website called “The Black List,” a directory of the best black-owned businesses in the country. I had a lot of fun working on that project, but I eventually realized I wanted to do something more creative. That’s when I got the idea for Black Tail magazine.
I wanted to create a publication that would celebrate the sensual side of black culture. I wanted to show that black people could be sexy and stylish and that we could enjoy our sexuality without apology.
It hasn’t been easy, but I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished with Black Tail. We’ve been able to showcase some exceptional talent, and I believe we’ve made a positive impact on the way black sexuality is viewed by the mainstream.
3. What are your goals for the magazine?
As the editor of Black Tail magazine, I aim to provide our readers with the best possible content every month. I want to continue to grow the magazine and make it the premier publication for blacktail deer hunters. I also want to give our readers a forum to voice their opinions and share their stories.
